Meet Wilecia

Experience & Accomplishments

Wilecia Wright is a native of Mobile, Alabama and has been living in the District 5 community for over 25 years. She is a graduate from C.F. Vigor High School, as well as a graduate of Alabama A&M University. While at Alabama A&M she received a Bachelors of Science in Urban Planning.

Throughout the years, she was involved in various local organizations including the Strikers, INC, where she debuted as a debutante in 2004. She also served as a Lady on the Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association (MAMGA) court.

Wilecia has developed programs, successfully managed, monitored, and facilitated workshops and seminars.

She has been a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club as a mentor and currently a volunteer companion at local nursing homes. She helped design and develop a new urban community in North Alabama, and conducted surveys among residents to address their issues. She also worked with Environmental Protection helping with the Gulf clean-up to protect local wild and sea life.

Community Involvement
